JELAJAHNEWS.ID – Bupati Serdang Bedagai (Sergai) Darma Wijaya mengajak umat Kristiani mendukung visi dan misi Pemerintahan Kabupaten (Pemkab) sesuai slogannya, Maju Terus: Mandiri, Sejahtera, dan Religius.
Hal ini disampaikan Darma Wijaya saat menghadiri perayaan Natal 2024 Pemkab Sergai, di Wisma Lasmaria, Desa Pematang Cermai, Kecamatan Tanjung Beringin, Minggu (15/12/2024).
Darma juga menuturkan, bahwa perbedaan bukan menjadi halangan untuk membangun Pemkab Sergai.
“Kerukunan menjadi pondasi penting dalam membangun daerah ini. Perbedaan adalah hal alami, tetapi dengan kebersamaan, kita dapat menciptakan Sergai yang lebih baik,” ujar Darma, seraya mengapresiasi perayaan Natal Pemkab yang berjalan dengan sukses penuh sukacita.
Selain itu, Darma juga mengajak masyarakat menjaga kerukunan dan terus mendukung pemerintah dalam mewujudkan visi kesejahteraan.
Sementara itu, usai perayaan Natal Pemkab Sergai 2024, Wakil Bupati H. Adlin Tambunan menyampaikan maraknya ancaman narkoba terhadap generasi muda.
Adlin sapaan akrab Adlin Tambunan menyebutkan bahwa generasi muda adalah aset bangsa yang harus dijaga, dan mengajak semua pihak untuk bersatu melawan ancaman peredaran narkoba di wilayah Sergai.
“Generasi muda adalah aset penting. Kita harus bersatu melawan peredaran narkoba demi masa depan mereka,” tegasnya.
Selanjutnya, Adlin juga memaparkan program insentif untuk 1.019 guru sekolah Minggu dari 474 gereja, pembangunan gereja, dan pembayaran iuran BPJS Ketenagakerjaan bagi guru sekolah Minggu.
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Ketua Panitia Natal Sergai, Drs. Fajar Simbolon, M.Si, menyebutkan bahwa antusiasme jemaat sangat tinggi. Dari target 2.000 peserta, jumlah yang hadir mencapai lebih dari 2.500 orang.
Usai ibadah, perayaan ini diwarnai penyerahan santunan Jaminan Kematian BPJS Ketenagakerjaan kepada seorang guru sekolah Minggu, bantuan sembako bagi warga kurang mampu, dan bingkisan Natal untuk anak-anak.
Acara ditutup dengan pembagian hadiah lucky draw dan hiburan lainnya.
Terlihat hadir, Ketua DPRD Sergai Togar Situmorang, anggota DPRD, Kepala OPD, pendeta, tokoh agama, dan unsur Forkopimda, serta para undangan.(jai/**)
