JELAJAHNEWS.ID – Presiden Prabowo Subianto menegaskan sikapnya untuk menghapus sistem kuota impor, terutama untuk komoditas yang memengaruhi kehidupan masyarakat secara langsung.
Hal ini diungkapkan saat dialog dalam Sarasehan Ekonomi di Menara Mandiri, Jakarta, Selasa (8/4/2025).
Menurut Presiden, sistem kuota selama ini menciptakan ketimpangan dalam akses impor karena hanya memberikan keuntungan kepada pihak-pihak tertentu. Ia menegaskan, ke depan siapa pun boleh melakukan impor asalkan memenuhi ketentuan yang berlaku.
“Tapi yang jelas, Menko kemarin, Menteri Keuangan, Gubernur BI ada, Ketua DEN ada. Saya sudah kasih perintah untuk hilangkan kuota-kuota impor. Terutama untuk barang-barang yang menyangkut hajat hidup orang banyak. Siapa yang mampu, siapa yang mau impor, silakan, bebas. Tidak lagi kita tunjuk-tunjuk hanya ini yang boleh, itu tidak boleh,” kata Presiden.
Kebijakan ini, lanjut Presiden, merupakan bagian dari strategi untuk memperkuat iklim usaha, memperluas lapangan kerja, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi. Presiden juga menegaskan pentingnya kontribusi pelaku usaha melalui pembayaran pajak yang benar.
Dalam pernyataannya, Prabowo secara khusus menyinggung komoditas daging sebagai contoh barang yang harus bebas kuota. Ia menginstruksikan para menteri terkait agar memberikan izin impor kepada siapa saja yang memenuhi syarat.
“Siapa saja boleh impor. Mau impor apa, silahkan buka saja. Rakyat kita juga pandai kok, iya kan. Bikin kuota-kuota, abis itu perusahaan A, B, C, D yang hanya ditunjuk. Hanya dia boleh impor, enak saja,” lanjutnya.
Selain itu, Presiden juga menyoroti hambatan di sektor bea cukai dan meminta pelaku usaha tidak ragu melapor jika menemukan pelanggaran di lapangan.
“Kalau ada lagi implementasi yang kurang bagus, segera laporkan. Segera laporkan kita bertindak,” tutur Presiden.(jn/**)
