Hassanudin Akui Sumut Butuh Tenaga Medis Terlatih

JELAJAHNEWS.ID – Penjabat (Pj) Gubernur Sumatera Utara (Sumut) Hassanudin mengatakan Sumatera Utara membutuhkan tenaga medis yang terlatih.

“Melihat luasnya Sumut, kita memang butuh tenaga medis terlatih sebagai bentuk pelayanan kita kepada masyarakat, dan ini salah satu upaya pencegahan agar penyakit menular yang biasa di wilayah tropis bisa dihambat,” kata Hassanudin, saat menerima audiensi jajaran Fakultas Kedokteran USU, Kamis (21/3) di Kantor Gubernur Sumut, Jalan Diponegoro Nomor 30, Medan.

Hassanudin menyebutkan mendukung program beasiswa dari Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Sumut untuk Magister Ilmu Kedokteran Tropis Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), yang diikuti ASN bidang kesehatan kabupaten/kota se-Sumut.

Ia berharap hasilnya maksimal, sehingga memberikan dampak yang besar di berbagai daerah di Sumut.

Diketahui, program beasiswa Magister Ilmu Kedokteran Tropis bagi ASN ini dibuka 21 Maret tahun lalu. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan ASN bidang kesehatan penyakit menular seperti malaria, tuberkulosis, HIV/AIDS dan lainnya

Hassanudin meminta kepada para ASN yang telah mendapat beasiswa pada program ini, tetap mengabdi di daerahnya. Sehingga masyarakat yang ada di daerah tersebut mendapat manfaat dari program ini.

“Jangan setelah selesai dapat magister malah pindah, cari posisi ke kota atau kampung halaman, itu tidak adil, peserta harus mengabdi ke daerahnya, melayani masyarakat yang ada di sana,” kata Hassanudin.

Sementara itu,Dekan Fakultas Kedokteran USU Aldy Safruddin Rambe menuturkan, saat ini ada 13 perwakilan kabupaten/kota yang mengikuti program beasiswa ini. Dia berharap ke depannya seluruh kabupaten/kota memiliki kesempatan untuk mengikuti program ini.

“Saat ini masih 13 kabupaten/kota dan program ini akan berjalan 2 tahun lagi, kita berharap ke depannya seluruh kabupaten/kota, agar mempermudah kita mengendalikan penyakit-penyakit menular,” pungkas Aldy. (jns/**)
